
Hyderabad – Eluzhing Meru, the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (Wildlife) and Chief Wildlife Warden of Telangana, made a surprise visit to the Nehru Zoological Park to inspect development works.
According to a press release, the ongoing development works and various efforts to accommodate new animal species arriving from different zoos under the animal exchange program were explained.
It was stated that new species including zebras, wallabies, mandrills, and gibbons will soon be added to the Nehru Zoological Park. After a period of quarantine, they will be released into enclosures for public viewing on the occasion of Wildlife Week or Zoo Day celebrations. It was said that the new animals will increase the number of visitors to the zoo.
