Hyderabad, the Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) of the Women and Child Safety Wing organized awareness programs in various areas of the city to raise awareness about the safety of women and children. It was reported that this campaign was conducted under the statewide Praja Palana Pragati Pranalika (99-day campaign).

As part of the program, under the leadership of the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) of the Women and Child Safety Wing and the Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) of AHTU and JB Unit, events were held at various locations including Borabanda, Rahmat Nagar, Osmania Hospital, and Chowmahalla Palace. During this, citizens were made aware of gender sensitivity, child safety, and various types of violence against women and children. Additionally, detailed information was provided about the dangers of cybercrimes and measures to prevent them amid the increasing use of social media.

Police teams also alerted people to serious crimes like human trafficking and urged them to report any suspicious activity or crime to the police immediately without fear. On the occasion, people were advised to contact police emergency assistance numbers 100 and 112, the cybercrime complaint number 1930, and the child helpline 1098 for matters related to children.
