Hyderabad, The Golden Jubilee celebration ‘Dakshin Samvad’ of the Department of Official Language, under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, will be held on July 11, 2025, at the GMC Balayogi Indoor Stadium in Gachibowli, Hyderabad. The event will commence at 10 AM, with over 5,000 Hindi officers from across the country participating.

It was announced that the ‘Dakshin Samvad’ event is highly significant for the Department of Official Language. The inauguration ceremony will feature distinguished guests, including the Union Minister of Coal and Mines, the Deputy Chairman of the Rajya Sabha, the Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, and the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. Senior officials, scholars, and language enthusiasts from various southern states—Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, and Puducherry—will also attend.

Winners of sports competitions held during the event will be honored. This celebration is not just linguistic but also a symbol of social and cultural participation, aiming to honor the linguistic diversity and cultural richness of South India. The program is also a strong initiative to establish Hindi as a language of communication and foster coordination among languages.

GMC Balayogi Gachibowli Stadium

The first Golden Jubilee celebration of the Department of Official Language was held in Delhi on June 26. Subsequently, it was decided to organize the event in Hyderabad to promote Hindi dialogue in South India and encourage southern states to adopt it as an official language.

The event was attended by representatives of various languages, including Telugu, Kannada, Tamil, and Malayalam.

GMC Balayogi Indoor Stadium
