Tengereng (Indonesia), Lieutenant Colonel Varun Parmar of the Indian Army delivered the best performance among Indians at the first Asia-Pacific Golf Confederation (APGC) event here on Thursday, finishing fifth overall. As part of the four-member team from the Indian Golf Union, Parmar scored a total of 216 with rounds of 72, 68, and 76, securing the runner-up position in Category C (ages 38-46).
The 43-year-old Parmar, who won the World Military Golf Championship in Kenya earlier this June, was also the runner-up in the IGU Senior and Mid-Amateur Championship this year. Among other Indians, Arjun Singh finished third in Category C and seventh overall with a total score of two-over 218.

Ranjit Singh tied for ninth with a total score of two-over, while Simarjeet Singh tied for 21st with a total score of 14-over. Playing individually, Ashish Kapoor secured a joint second position in Category D (47 years and above).
