New Delhi: While the opposition has been cornering the government over the tariffs imposed by the US on India, Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal presented the government’s stance on the issue on Thursday. Piyush Goyal stated that India’s exports are consistently growing, and the country is progressing with confidence. He mentioned that India is now among the top five economies globally.

India is moving towards self-reliance. Goyal made this statement in response to Trump’s tariffs. Speaking in the Lok Sabha, Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal said the government is seriously reviewing the 25% tariffs imposed by the US. He also mentioned that four rounds of discussions have already taken place between India and the US.
