New Delhi, June 6. The Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports said that India’s youth are the nation’s greatest strength and their role will be most crucial in realizing the goal of ‘Developed India 2047’.
He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, young people have received unprecedented opportunities in areas such as innovation, entrepreneurship, sports, startups, and public service.
These remarks were made while addressing the ‘Youth for Developed India: My Bharat Youth Convention’ held at the Thyagaraj Sports Complex in the national capital on Saturday. The Delhi Chief Minister was also present on the occasion.
More than 6,000 young people from across the country participated in this convention. They included students, young professionals, women entrepreneurs, startup founders, content creators, innovators, emerging leaders, and youth who have achieved success in various fields. The aim of the event was to strengthen the role of youth in nation-building and the resolve to make India a developed nation by the year 2047.
In the address, it was said that about 65 percent of India’s population is under the age of 35, which is the country’s greatest demographic strength.
“Youth are our strength, our pride, our resolve, and our future. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, new opportunities have been created for young people. Today, Indian youth are showcasing their talent in startups, sports, entrepreneurship, public service, and creative fields, strengthening the country’s global identity.”
Mentioning various initiatives of ‘My Bharat’, it was said that this platform is working to channel the energy and potential of youth positively towards nation-building. The recent Guinness World Record set by My Bharat was also praised, and an appeal was made for young people to actively participate in volunteerism and national interest programs.
“This is the time of the youth. The dream of a developed India will be fulfilled only through the ideas, innovation, and aspirations of young people. Together, we must build a self-reliant, confident, and competitive India that realizes the dreams of 140 crore Indians.”
On this occasion, the Delhi Chief Minister said that India’s youth are ready to take the country to new heights based on their talent, hard work, and determination. Young people are hardworking, visionary, creative, and courageous, and every achievement of theirs strengthens the country in the direction of a developed India.
Excellence in any field is achieved through discipline, dedication, and continuous effort. The achievements of youth in sports, entrepreneurship, content creation, arts, and public service were praised.
During the event, a singer and MLA, an actor, an entrepreneur, and an Indian cricketer interacted with My Bharat and NSS volunteers, sharing their experiences and inspiring young people to strive for excellence and contribute to nation-building.
The actor highlighted the rapid growth of India’s creator economy under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the opportunities provided by digital empowerment. Meanwhile, the entrepreneur discussed the government’s efforts to make India the world’s startup capital.
The convention also honored outstanding performers. The Indian cricketer shared his experiences on the theme “Play in India, Play for India,” inspiring young people to excel in sports and bring glory to the country.
The Secretary of Youth Affairs also reiterated the government’s commitment to strengthening the continuous participation and leadership capacity of young people.
The convention concluded with the ‘Developed India Pledge’, in which young people resolved to actively contribute to building a developed, self-reliant, and inclusive India by the year 2047.
