They date back to the Middle Ages and serve as a living testament to traditional urban Islamic life and architecture.
Saudi Arabia
Saudi Arabia is a modern nation founded in 1932, but its history is deeply rooted as the birthplace of Islam in the 7th century. It is home to the religion’s two holiest cities, Mecca and Medina, and its vast territory was historically a crossroads for ancient trade routes. The country’s contemporary significance is largely defined by its immense reserves of oil, discovered in the 1930s, which transformed it into a leading global economic power.
Telangana
Telangana is a state in southeastern India, formed in 2014 after a prolonged movement for separation from the state of Andhra Pradesh. Its history is deeply rooted in the region ruled by the Golconda Sultanate, a major center for diamond trade, and later the powerful Nizams of Hyderabad, whose princely state existed for over two centuries. The state is renowned for its rich cultural heritage, including historic landmarks like the Charminar and Golconda Fort.

Mecca
Mecca is the holiest city in Islam, located in Saudi Arabia. It is the birthplace of the Prophet Muhammad and the site of the Kaaba, the most sacred shrine in Islam, which Muslims believe was built by Abraham and his son Ishmael.
