The Southern Gujarat Chamber of Commerce and Industry organized an awareness session on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at Samriddhi Bhavan in Nanpura on the topic ‘From Nutrition to Digestive Health – Building a Healthy and Productive India’. The aim of the event was to raise awareness among people about better health, balanced diet, and lifestyle.

In the welcome address, it was stated that in today’s fast-paced lifestyle, people are neglecting their health, leading to a rapid increase in various diseases. It was emphasized that healthy human resources are the foundation of the country’s development and such programs play a crucial role in raising awareness in society.

At the event, a clinical dietitian and medical nutrition therapist provided guidance on the topic ‘Healthy People, Healthy India’.

They emphasized that a balanced and nutritious diet is essential for increasing the body’s energy and immunity. They also advised avoiding fast food and adopting fresh, home-cooked meals.

A senior anorectal surgeon expressed concern over the rising cases of anorectal diseases such as piles, fissures, and fistulas. They explained that poor diet and an unbalanced lifestyle are the main causes of these diseases, making timely check-ups and treatment extremely important.

Additionally, detailed information was provided on the treatment of these diseases, home remedies, and lifestyle management. Emphasis was placed on regular exercise, drinking adequate water, maintaining hygiene, and adopting a balanced diet. It was also advised to consult a doctor for any problems.

The program outline was presented, and the session was conducted. At the end, gratitude was expressed to all the participants present, concluding the event.
