Mahisagar/Panchmahal: As the local body elections heat up in Gujarat, the Aam Aadmi Party has launched an aggressive campaign in tribal areas. The Vijay Vishwas Sabha of the popular MLA from Dediapada, Chaitar Vasava, was held in Malvan in Mahisagar district and in Kaknapur, Erandi, Rajyata, and Saraswa in Panchmahal district. At the Vijay Vishwas Sabha, he stated that threats to cut off electricity, stop water supply, or initiate false police action are used to prevent people from attending the meetings. Reminding police officers of their oath to the Constitution, he said, “Protect the people; if you harass them under pressure from those in power, the tribal community will not hesitate to answer a brick with a stone.”

Mentioning the scams in the MGNREGA scheme, Chaitar Vasava appealed to the people to remain vigilant and respond through their votes. He said, “We are not afraid of jail or FIRs.” The Vijay Vishwas Sabha is not just a political event but has become a fight for the self-respect of the tribals. He expressed confidence that this time, the local body elections will mark the beginning of change, and a major shift will be seen in Gujarat in the 2027 assembly elections.
