A Plane Carrying Hajj Pilgrims to Soekarno-Hatta Airport Makes Emergency Landing in Medan Due to Suspected Bomb Threat
A Saudia aircraft carrying Hajj pilgrims heading to Soekarno-Hatta Airport (Soetta), Tangerang City, made an emergency landing at Kualanamu Airport in Medan on Tuesday, June 17, 2025. This was suspected to be triggered by a bomb threat.
In response to the news, Angkasa Pura Indonesia or InJourney Airports immediately implemented contingency procedures for security and safety threats to the Saudia SV-5726 aircraft.
“The aircraft had departed from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, aiming for Soekarno-Hatta Airport in Tangerang,” said the Corporate Secretary Group Head.
