West Bandung Regency Secretary’s Name Misused, KBB Communication and Informatics Office: It’s a Fraud Attempt
The Department of Communication, Informatics, and Statistics (Diskominfotik) KBB advises the public not to fall for frauds committed in the name of the Regional Secretary.
It is known that currently, false information in the form of screenshots is circulating that funds have been transferred to TPQ Al Hikmah and TPQ Al Azhar.
The head of the department explained that in the message, the perpetrator even requested a “return fee” of Rp10 million.
“This indicates elements of fraud and extortion. The local government affirms that this information is fabricated and entirely untrue,” he stated on Wednesday (18/6/2025).
He added that the name and position of the Secretary have been irresponsibly misused. The authorities are currently coordinating to follow up on this report as a legal action against
