This has made many consumers who haven’t had the chance to replace or buy new appliances feel like they have missed out on “billions” and they have joined the queue to grab coupons. Consumers are inquiring whether the national subsidy for the home appliance replacement in Sichuan will continue and whether the subsequent policies will change. They also wonder if the policies for other categories like cars, electric bicycles, and home kitchen and bathroom renovations will be affected.
In response to these concerns, on June 17, the Department of Commerce of Sichuan Province replied through an online platform, stating the following:
According to the “Sichuan Province 2025 Policy Measures to Support Large-Scale Equipment Renewal and Consumer Goods Replacement”:
