New U-turns along Gading Serpong Road built to ease traffic congestion.
The rapid growth of Gading Serpong as a self-sufficient city has brought its own challenges, one of which is traffic congestion. With over 120,000 residents and vehicle traffic reaching 15,000 units per hour on main roads, congestion is a daily challenge for the community.
In response, Paramount Land has taken several strategic measures, including the addition of U-turn points on key road sections. But how effective are these efforts? Here’s the developer’s explanation.
The addition of U-turns is part of an adaptive traffic management approach to meet the needs of the growing city.
„We continuously conduct research to address traffic issues, including road design modifications and U-turn additions. This is crucial for reducing congestion at busy intersections and improving residents‘ mobility,“ the statement said.
The new U-turns have been implemented along Gading Serpong Boulevard, a busy area serving as the main access to commercial hubs like Pisa Grande, Sorrento, and Paramount Plaza Roundabout.
This measure allows vehicles to change direction without detouring to major intersections, which often become congestion hotspots.
„The result is a more distributed and flexible traffic flow, reducing buildup at single points,“ the statement added.
The new U-turns are complemented by road widening near Il Lago and Modern Market, as well as median landscape adjustments to ensure visibility and driving safety.
U-turns are not the only solution. Paramount Land has also opened new road connections linking Gading Serpong with BSD and surrounding areas.
These include access from Sorrento Boulevard to PHG Continuation Road and Serpong Main Road, as well as a connector from Il Lago Boulevard to Soekarno Road. Another route connects Gading Serpong Boulevard to BSD via Aniva and Pasadena.
All these improvements reflect the developer’s commitment to creating a comfortable, safe, and adaptive traffic system.

Research-based U-turn additions have proven to be a practical solution for smoother traffic flow in Gading Serpong.
„When combined with other infrastructure strategies, this measure not only reduces congestion but also improves daily driving efficiency and comfort for road users,“ the statement concluded.
