From August 27 to 29, the International Trade Negotiator and Vice Minister of Commerce visited the United States and held talks with relevant officials from the U.S. Department of the Treasury, Department of Commerce, and Office of the Trade Representative. The two sides exchanged views on implementing the consensus reached in the phone call between the leaders of the two countries, as well as issues related to economic and trade relations and the implementation of previous agreements. It was emphasized that both sides should adhere to the principles of mutual respect, peaceful coexistence, and win-win cooperation, continue to make good use of economic and trade consultation mechanisms, manage differences and expand cooperation through equal dialogue and consultation, and jointly promote healthy, stable, and sustainable development of economic and trade relations.
During the visit, meetings and exchanges were also held with the US-China Business Council, the US Chamber of Commerce, and representatives of relevant US companies.
