The 25th China International Industrial Expo’s 3rd Yangtze River Delta High-End Industry and Financial Services Summit Forum was held at the Shanghai Science Hall. The forum’s theme was “Yangtze River Delta Industrial Synergy and Ecological Innovation — Jointly Building a Path for High-Quality Industrial Development.”
Attendees included an academician and university president, senior officials from the China Federation of Industrial Economics, the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization, and the industrial economy federations of Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Anhui, as well as leaders from major companies and financial institutions.
It was stated that the forum, organized during the 25th China International Industrial Expo, aims to promote cross-regional synergy in technological and industrial innovation. Building on the success of previous events, the goal is to facilitate financial empowerment of high-end industries, deepen the integration of industry, academia, and research, build a multi-dimensional innovation ecosystem, and continue to create a grand event for cooperation in industrial and supply chains, industry-finance integration, and regional collaboration in the Yangtze River Delta.
Speakers delivered opening remarks, expressing the goal of using this summit to further enhance the level of coordinated industrial development in the Yangtze River Delta region. They emphasized integrating and unleashing the powerful momentum of regional industrial chains, industry-finance chains, policy chains, innovation chains, and technology chains in conjunction with the formulation of the next five-year industrial plan. The aim is to better leverage the unique hub platform role of the regional federation, practically building a platform for resource integration, information sharing, technical exchange, and deep cooperation among enterprises from different industries; jointly forging chain resilience, building an integrated ecosystem, and collectively promoting the high-quality development of key characteristic industries and the cultivation of new productive forces in the Yangtze River Delta.
During the forum, keynote speeches were given on topics including “Building an Efficiently Synergized Industry-Academia-Research Innovation System, Optimizing the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Ecosystem,” “Financial Empowerment of Technological Innovation, Assisting High-Quality Industrial Development,” and “AI Empowering Intelligent Ship Manufacturing, Innovation Driving New Productive Forces — The Transformation, Upgrade, and High-Quality Development Path of Traditional Manufacturing.” The speeches elaborated on the significant importance of deep industry-academia-research integration, financial empowerment, and technological and industrial innovation for high-quality industrial development and the cultivation of new productive forces.

Last year, the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization released the “Shanghai Municipal Manufacturing Single Champion Enterprise Recognition Management Measures” and initiated the first batch of municipal-level manufacturing single champion enterprise recognitions. A total of 129 companies were recognized in the first batch. During the forum, these first batch of municipal-level manufacturing single champion enterprises were awarded plaques.

At the forum, representatives jointly launched the collection and recommendation activity for the “Yangtze River Delta Manufacturing Brand Value List.” The results of this activity are planned to be released during next year’s “China Brand Day” events.
Additionally, it was noted that a series of six thematic matchmaking activities focusing on industrial services, industrial finance, new types of industry, industrial ecology, and industrial intelligence will be conducted during the conference period. Nearly a hundred industry associations, over a thousand central state-owned enterprises, listed companies, national and municipal-level manufacturing single champion enterprises, specialized and sophisticated “Little Giant” enterprises, other specialized and sophisticated enterprises, and financial institutions are expected to participate in these exchanges and matchmaking activities related to high-quality development of the industrial ecosystem, technological innovation, and industrial and supply chain cooperation.
