On August 5, the Beijing Water Authority and the Meteorological Bureau downgraded the mountain flood disaster warning to yellow at 6:30 AM. Currently, the soil saturation in Beijing’s mountainous areas remains high, posing a significant risk of mountain floods. There is a very high probability of mountain floods in Miyun District (red risk), a high probability in Pinggu District and Huairou District (orange risk), and a relatively high probability in other mountainous areas (yellow risk). The public is advised to stay away from flood-prone areas and suspend outdoor activities near mountains and water bodies to prevent potential disasters.
