Police said they are arranging for evacuated residents to return home in an orderly manner. Hong Kong Citybus routes and tram services have returned to normal. Exits A and B of the Quarry Bay MTR station have reopened, and nearby residents have gradually resumed normal travel.
At noon on the 19th, an object approximately 1.4 meters long, suspected to be a wartime bomb, was discovered on Coastal Street in Quarry Bay, North Point. The Hong Kong Police Explosive Ordnance Disposal team and firefighters arrived at the scene to handle the situation.
