Kinmen

Kinmen, also known as Quemoy, is a group of islands administered by Taiwan, located just off the coast of mainland China. It is historically significant as a frontline military outpost during the Cold War, most notably for the artillery bombardments in the 1958 Taiwan Strait Crisis. Today, it is known for its well-preserved battlefields, traditional Fujianese architecture, and its role as a symbol of cross-strait tensions and reconciliation.
