Recently, a 5 yuan self-service restaurant located in a small alley in Tianqiao District of Jinan became popular due to a negative review about “small portion sizes”, attracting many netizens to defend it humorously. On May 23, a visit was made to this fast food restaurant.

A small shop packed with three customers

Turning off Lishan Road and passing through several winding paths, you enter one of the remaining urban villages in Jinan—Liuxing, just one street away from Daming Lake. The 5 yuan self-service fast food restaurant opened by a post-90s young man is located here.

At 4 PM on the 23rd, while preparing for the evening business, the restaurant owner was seen busily frying shredded potatoes. The restaurant, approximately ten square meters in size, allocates half of its space to the kitchen and the other half to the serving area
