The Internal Affairs Division of the North Sumatra Regional Police conducted an arrest operation against 2 traffic police officers who were usually active at the Sudirman Road Post in Medan on Wednesday afternoon.

Based on information obtained, the arrest location was at the Traffic Police Post under the Medan City Police Traffic Unit, located on Sudirman Road in Medan City.

The Head of Traffic for Medan City Police acknowledged the arrest of two members in the operation conducted by the Internal Affairs Division.

„The incident occurred at the Traffic Police Post on Sudirman Road at approximately 3:00 PM,“ explained the official.

It was stated that the two traffic police officers caught in the operation have the initials Bripda AG and Bripda ANH.

„Both traffic police officers are still being held at the Internal Affairs Division of the North Sumatra Regional Police,“ it was said.

When contacted for confirmation about the traffic police arrest, the official chose to remain silent.

Separately, when contacted for confirmation, another official confirmed that the Internal Affairs Division had conducted the arrest operation against the traffic police members.

„I cannot provide their identities yet because investigators from the Internal Affairs Division are still conducting examinations,“ it was stated.

Meanwhile, observations in the field showed that after the arrest operation, the situation at the Traffic Police Post appeared quiet without any traffic police personnel activity.
