TANGERANGNEWS.com- The national U17 Soeratin Cup final match featured Persika Karanganyar against Persikota Tangerang U17 at Sriwedari Stadium on Wednesday, September 17, 2025.

Persikota’s hopes of lifting the trophy were dashed after a narrow 2-1 defeat, leaving them in the runner-up position.

The match was tight from the opening whistle. Persika took the lead first with a goal from Mohammad Ferry Prastyo in the first half.

Persikota then fought back through Muhammad Fadlan Rizki Ramadhan in the 28th minute, leveling the score at 1-1. However, Ferry scored again just three minutes into the second half. That goal proved to be the match-winner for Persika until the final whistle.

The manager of Persikota Tangerang U17 said the players gave their best effort, even though the final result did not meet the main target.

“This is the first time we have reached the final, and we certainly appreciate all the players and coaching staff who made it to this stage. This will serve as an evaluation for us moving forward,” he stated.

He also expressed appreciation to the Banten supporters in general and especially the people of Tangerang who continuously provided support throughout the tournament.

He hopes this achievement marks the beginning of a revival in football success for the city of Tangerang.

“Hopefully, football in Tangerang will continue to improve with the current and upcoming talents. Thank you for the prayers and support from all the people of Banten Province and the city of Tangerang for Persikota Tangerang U17 in the national U17 Soeratin Cup,” he concluded.
