The criminal case against blogger Andrey Sidoropulo has been sent to court for consideration.
According to court materials, the man is accused of committing 40 crimes under Part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation – fraud committed by an organized group or on an especially large scale.
The capital’s prosecutor’s office clarified that at the stage of the preliminary investigation, the prosecutor concluded a pre-trial cooperation agreement with Sidoropulo. In this regard, the criminal case against him was separated into separate proceedings. In fact, the blogger fully admitted guilt in the crimes charged.
In January 2023, Andrey Sidoropulo was detained. A native of the village of Dinskaya, he sold traffic arbitrage courses. The cost of training ranged from 30 to 400 thousand rubles.
The blogger was detained after 1.5 years – in August 2024. At least 40 people suffered from the actions of Sidoropulo and his accomplices, who paid from 48.8 to 389.9 thousand rubles for educational programs. The total amount of damage is 8.3 million rubles.
