Jakarta – President Prabowo Subianto has once again reshuffled his cabinet. In the reshuffle held at the State Palace on Wednesday (17/9/2025), Prabowo inaugurated new officials for two important positions that had been vacant for over a week.

Lieutenant General (Ret.) Djamari Chaniago officially filled the position of Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs. Meanwhile, Erick Thohir was entrusted to lead the Ministry of Youth and Sports.

Erick’s appointment drew public attention as he still holds the position of Chairman of PSSI. Previously, he served as Minister of State-Owned Enterprises before being asked by Prabowo to oversee the youth and sports sector.

In addition to these two strategic positions, President Prabowo also introduced several other new state officials on the same occasion.

State Palace

The State Palace, also known as the Istana Negara, is the official residence of the President of Indonesia in Jakarta. Originally built in 1796 as a private mansion for a Dutch merchant, it was later repurposed and expanded during the colonial era. Following Indonesia’s independence, it was designated as the primary presidential palace and a key venue for state ceremonies and functions.
