PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BSI) has officially established a collaboration with Percikan Iman Tours & Travel to provide services for travel agents and prospective Hajj and Umrah pilgrims. The signing of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) was conducted.
The MoU was signed by the Area Manager of BSI Bandung Kota and the Director of Percikan Iman Tours & Travel.
The signing ceremony was also witnessed by the Commissioner of Percikan Iman Tours & Travel and the RCEO of BSI Region VI Bandung.
It was explained that as the largest sharia bank, they continue to encourage the development of the Islamic ecosystem, including in the fields of Hajj, Umrah, and halal tourism.

Meanwhile, it was emphasized that there is a commitment to strengthening Hajj and Umrah services.
“Currently, we hold an 83 percent market share in Hajj and 86 percent in Umrah. We continue to strive to improve services so that the public gets the best solutions for their journey to the Holy Land,” it was said.
According to the statement, the collaboration with Percikan Iman Tours & Travel also opens access to business-to-business financing for travel agents.
“In the future, we will provide e-channel access that can be used by travel agents and pilgrims to facilitate transactions,” it was added.
Hajj
The Hajj is the annual Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca, Saudi Arabia, and is a mandatory religious duty for Muslims that must be carried out at least once in their lifetime. Its history dates back to the Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim), who, according to Islamic tradition, was ordered by God to build the Kaaba, the sacred black cube structure at the center of the Grand Mosque that pilgrims circumambulate. The rituals performed during the Hajj commemorate the trials and faith of Abraham and his family.
Umrah
Umrah is a non-mandatory Islamic pilgrimage to the holy city of Mecca, Saudi Arabia, that can be undertaken at any time of the year. Unlike the Hajj, which has fixed dates, its rites are simpler and include performing Tawaf (circling the Kaaba) and Sa’i (walking between the hills of Safa and Marwah). The practice is a ancient tradition tracing its origins to the prophets Ibrahim (Abraham) and Ismail (Ishmael), who are believed to have built the Kaaba.
Holy Land
The Holy Land is a region in the Middle East, primarily located in modern-day Israel and Palestine, that is sacred to Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Its history is defined by millennia of biblical events, including the founding of ancient kingdoms, the life of Jesus Christ, and the rise of Islam. It remains a central pilgrimage destination and a place of profound religious significance for billions of people worldwide.
Mitraguna Special Hajj
I am not familiar with a specific cultural site or place known as “Mitraguna Special Hajj.” It is possible this term may refer to a local organization, a travel service for the Hajj pilgrimage, or there might be a spelling variation. For accurate information, please verify the correct name or provide more context.
Gold-Based Hajj Planning
I am not familiar with a specific cultural site or place officially known as “Gold-Based Hajj Planning.” This term appears to refer to a modern service or a conceptual approach to organizing the Islamic pilgrimage (Hajj) rather than a physical location. It likely describes a premium, high-end planning service that uses gold or luxury as a theme for wealthy pilgrims undertaking the journey to Mecca.
sharia bank
“Sharia bank” refers to Islamic banking, a financial system that operates according to Islamic law (Sharia), which prohibits interest and investments in businesses considered unethical. This system emerged in the mid-20th century, with the first modern experiments starting in Egypt during the 1960s, and has since grown into a significant global financial sector.
Islamic ecosystem
The term “Islamic ecosystem” refers to the interconnected network of institutions, laws, and social norms that developed under Muslim civilizations, fostering advancements in science, trade, and governance. Historically, it emerged from the 7th century onwards, creating a unified cultural and economic zone that stretched from Spain to India. This ecosystem facilitated a golden age of knowledge, preserving classical learning and driving innovation in fields like medicine, astronomy, and mathematics.
halal tourism
Halal tourism is a rapidly growing sector of the global travel industry catering to Muslim travelers who seek services compliant with Islamic principles. It emerged in the early 21st century, driven by the rising economic power of Muslim-majority nations and a demand for faith-based hospitality. This includes hotels with prayer facilities, alcohol-free environments, and halal food options.
