The Riyadh Regional Municipality continues to implement its extensive campaign to address violations of dividing residential units and converting them into multiple rental units without official permits.

The campaign includes buildings, villas, and rooftop additions within neighborhoods. Field inspections have so far monitored 26,345 units, including 12,918 violating units. Work is currently underway to regularize the status of 13,883 residential units.

Field teams carried out 1,187 field inspections across various stages, issuing 1,327 violation notices during this process.

The Municipality confirmed that the campaign is proceeding according to a comprehensive plan that includes monitoring, addressing violations, applying regulatory penalties, and enhancing compliance with urban requirements that ensure the safety of facilities and the quality of services.

Improving Infrastructure Efficiency

The campaign aims to improve the efficiency of infrastructure within neighborhoods and address urban challenges resulting from violations, which will positively reflect on the quality of life for the capital’s residents.

These efforts are part of the Riyadh Regional Municipality’s commitment to achieving sustainable urban development and enhancing the efficiency of municipal services, contributing to the improvement of the quality of life in the capital, in alignment with the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
