Berlin

Berlin is the capital and largest city of Germany, historically significant as the capital of the Kingdom of Prussia and later a central stage for the Cold War. It is famously divided by the Berlin Wall from 1961 to 1989, a powerful symbol of the Iron Curtain. Today, it is a major global city known for its art, museums, and landmarks like the Brandenburg Gate and the reconstructed Reichstag building.

Federal Republic of Germany

The Federal Republic of Germany is a federal parliamentary republic in central-western Europe, founded in 1949 from the post-World War II Allied occupation zones. Its modern history is defined by its post-war economic recovery, its peaceful reunification with East Germany in 1990, and its role as a leading member of the European Union.
