TANGERANG – The Regional Leadership Council (DPD) of the Golkar Party in Tangerang City celebrated independence by holding a series of events for the 80th Indonesian Independence Day. The activities were held on Maulana Yusuf Street, Tangerang City.

Hundreds of party cadres participated in enlivening the event. Table tennis matches, chess, and domino card games were organized by the committee to celebrate the 80th Independence Day.

The Chairman of the Golkar Party DPD in Tangerang City, H Sachrudin, also participated in all the competitions. In table tennis, this politician, who serves as Mayor of Tangerang, was agile and skilled at maneuvering to outwit his opponents.

When it comes to playing chess, the number one person in Tangerang City is equally impressive. H Sachrudin enjoys moving chess pieces through thoughtful and strategic gameplay that certainly confuses his opponents.

With full laughter and jokes, H Sachrudin was seen bantering with his domino opponents. Spectators who watched the game couldn’t help but laugh heartily at the sight and sound of the jokes.

Togetherness and Solidarity

“This is about togetherness and solidarity. I want to participate in the competitions with my friends. There is no party chairman or mayor here. Everyone present is equal, wanting to enliven the Independence Day celebration,” said Sachrudin.

According to him, the series of Independence Day commemorations held by the Golkar Party DPD in Tangerang City is one form of expressing gratitude to God and honoring the heroes.

“Through the spirit of togetherness in this Independence Day celebration, I invite cadres to build collaboration and synergize internally to develop Tangerang City. The struggle is not only about bearing arms; there are many other good things we can do,” said Sachrudin.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the 80th Independence Day Celebration Committee expressed that the event held was a mandate from the Central Leadership Council (DPP) of the Golkar Party. All DPDs are required to carry out Independence Day commemorations.

Not Just a Competition

“The activities held are not merely about competition. More than that, they aim to reaffirm a sense of unity and solidarity. Reflecting on independence by doing various positive things,” he said.

According to him, a shared commitment is still needed to strengthen national values and foster a sense of nationalism. Togetherness is required for the nation to progress and prosper through various works.

“In the context of building productive works for the community, Golkar has taught all of that. The doctrine of work and productivity for every cadre is not only seen from party identity,” he explained.

He invited cadres serving in legislative institutions, executive bodies, or those working in other fields to demonstrate real works for the nation. As a dedication to the country from the Golkar Party.
