According to meteorological forecasts, over the next three days, most areas of Liaoning and Yunnan will experience moderate to heavy rain, with some regions seeing severe rainstorms or heavy downpours. The Geological Disaster Technical Guidance Center of the Ministry of Natural Resources has assessed that there is a high risk of geological disasters in parts of eastern Liaoning, as well as eastern, southern, and northwestern Yunnan. In accordance with the “Geological Disaster Prevention and Response Work Plan of the Ministry of Natural Resources,” the Ministry has initiated a Level IV geological disaster prevention response at 12:00 on August 20.
