The Tangerang City Government recorded that in the first half of 2025, the total realized investment reached IDR 12.58 trillion, dominated by the rubber and plastic industry sector, followed by the property sector.

The Head of the Tangerang City Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Office stated that the increase in investment realization in the first half of the year was largely due to contributions from various industrial and service sectors in Tangerang City.

According to newly released data, domestic investment still dominates with a 71% share, while foreign investment accounts for 29%.

“We successfully closed the first half of the year with outstanding investment realization, achieving around 83% of the annual target. So far, the rubber and plastic industry sector has been the dominant contributor, significantly driving economic growth in Tangerang City,” he said.

He added that the key business sectors driving investment in Tangerang City remain similar to previous periods.

Here are the largest business sectors contributing to investment in Tangerang City in the first half of 2025:

1. Rubber and plastic industry sector: IDR 2.4 trillion (20%)

2. Transportation, warehousing, and telecommunications sector: IDR 1.6 trillion (13%)

3. Trade and repair sector: IDR 1.6 trillion (13%)

4. Housing and office complex sector: IDR 881.7 billion (7%)

5. Basic metal, metal goods, non-machinery, and equipment sector: IDR 834 billion (7%)

6. Electricity, gas, and water sector: IDR 807.1 billion (6%)

7. Paper and printing industry sector: IDR 697.1 billion (5%)

8. Other sectors: IDR 3.6 trillion (29%)
