The Mayor of Bandung, Muhammad Farhan, received the Paddaengang title from the South Sulawesi Family Association (KKSS). The title was bestowed after the inauguration and swearing-in of the management of the Regional Management Board (BPD) KKSS Bandung City for the 2025–2030 term by the Chairperson of BPW KKSS West Java, Hj. Sri Asri Wulandari, at Pendopo Bandung City on Sunday (7/6/2026).

In his speech, the Chairperson of the Inauguration and Swearing-in Committee for BPD KKSS Bandung City for the 2025–2030 term, Solihin Samad, stated readiness to collaborate with the Bandung City Government in implementing various programs of BPD KKSS Bandung City. “We are ready to collaborate with the Bandung City Government to maintain and enhance harmony in Bandung City. Likewise, we are very ready to collaborate with the Bandung City Government to run all our programs, which are certainly aligned with development in Bandung City,” said Solihin.

Solihin also expressed gratitude to the Mayor of Bandung for this special opportunity. “We thank Mr. Mayor of Bandung, Muhammad Farhan, for providing this special venue, Pendopo Bandung City, as the location for the inauguration and swearing-in of the BPD KKSS Bandung City management for the 2025–2030 term,” said Solihin.

“We also thank the Head of the National Unity Agency of Bandung City, represented by the Head of the Economic, Social, Cultural, Religious, and Community Organization Resilience Division of the National Unity and Politics Agency of Bandung City, Sesri Mayenti, and all parties who contributed to the success of the event,” added Solihin.

Meanwhile, the Chairperson of BPD KKSS Bandung City for the 2025–2030 term, F. Ermaula Aseseang, noted that Bandung City, as the capital of West Java Province, has its own characteristics. “We are in a very special region, in Bandung City and West Java, where KKSS members are predominantly academically oriented. Moreover, 16 million descendants of South Sulawesi reside in West Java. That is why we aim to make Bandung City the center of KKSS activities,” said Ermaula. “Similarly, regarding harmony, this has certainly been our practice within KKSS,” Ermaula added.

Ermaula further stated that the BPD KKSS Bandung City management will continue to strive to enhance the harmony that has been established so far. “We continuously monitor strategic programs. Especially for us, South Sulawesi residents who have lived in Bandung City for years, we will certainly give our best for Bandung City. Moreover, most of us in KKSS, having long been residents of Bandung City, I myself have married a Bandung woman. And almost all KKSS members have married women from Bandung, which certainly strengthens our solidarity,” Ermaula added.

Meanwhile, the Chairperson of BPW KKSS West Java, Hj. Sri Asri Wulandari, expressed happiness at being at Pendopo Bandung City. “This is my first time at Pendopo Bandung City. It is wonderful, thank you to the Bandung City Government,” said Hj. Sri.

Hj. Sri added that at every inauguration of BPD KKSS management, new faces always appear and fill the positions. “That is very good. I hope KKSS Bandung City can revive, because during the two terms I led BPD KKSS Bandung City, it was very active. And now, other BPD KKSS branches such as Bekasi, Karawang, Bogor, and Depok are much more active. I hope BPD KKSS Bandung City becomes even more active,” added Hj. Sri.

Hj. Sri also expressed hope that all BPD KKSS branches in West Java should become more active. “We at BPW KKSS West Java will oversee this. In Bandung City, many of our colleagues have academic backgrounds, and this is a major asset for us to become more active
