On the afternoon of June 5, a special lecture was held as part of the “Wisdom Gathering Bayu” Grand Lecture Hall’s “33618” modern manufacturing cluster system knowledge training session. City Party Secretary Yuan Jiajun attended. Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Director of the Institute of Industrial Artificial Intelligence at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Yu Haibin, was invited to give a special report.

Academician Yu Haibin has long been deeply engaged in the fields of industrial communication and distributed control, network collaboration, and intelligent manufacturing, making outstanding contributions to key industries such as equipment manufacturing and energy extraction in China. During the special lecture, he focused on the theme of intelligent robot technology and industry, providing a comprehensive and systematic explanation covering topics such as robots as a strategic technological direction, the history of intelligent robot development, the current state of robot technology and industry, and the future of intelligent robots.
The lecture closely followed the frontier trends of technological development and closely aligned with Chongqing’s industrial reality, further enhancing the understanding and grasp of the frontier trends in intelligent manufacturing and the development paths of new quality productive forces among officials at all levels. This is of great significance for promoting the high-quality development of the city’s manufacturing industry. After listening to the report, attendees expressed that they would deeply study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important expositions on building a strong manufacturing country, important expositions on artificial intelligence, and important instructions and spirit from his inspection of Chongqing. They will fully implement the deployments of the Sixth Plenary Sessions of the Municipal Party Committee, closely focus on the “33618” modern manufacturing cluster system and the “416” scientific and technological innovation layout, continuously expand high-growth industries such as intelligent robots, actively promote the “new star” industries to gain advantages on the track, intensify efforts to build an innovation-driven city, and accelerate the construction of an internationally competitive advanced manufacturing center and a nationally influential industrial innovation center, laying a more solid material and technological foundation for striving to write a Chinese-style modernization chapter for Chongqing.
The lecture was held via video. Heads of various municipal party committees, municipal government departments, democratic party municipal committees, relevant people’s organizations, municipal public institutions, some central units stationed in Chongqing, key municipal state-owned enterprises, large enterprises from central and other regions in Chongqing, relevant universities, research institutions, and private enterprises attended the main venue. District and county venues, as well as Chongqing High-tech Zone and Wansheng Economic Development Zone, set up sub-venues.
