President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. disclosed that 20% of the total ₱545 billion budget for flood control projects was awarded to only 15 contractors.

“This is another disturbing assessment: 20% of the entire ₱545 billion budget went to just 15 contractors. Out of those 15 contractors, five have contracts across the entire Philippines. Here’s the list,” Marcos said during a press conference on flood control projects.

“And this is what I was talking about. Five of these 15 contractors have projects in almost all regions nationwide,” he added.

The 15 contractors were the following:

1. Legacy Construction Corporation
2. Alpha & Omega Gen. Contractor & Development Corp.
3. St. Timothy Construction Corporation
4. QM Builders
5. EGB Construction Corporation
6. Topnotch Catalyst Builders Inc.
7. Centerways Construction and Development Inc.
8. Sunwest, Inc.
9. Hi-Tone Construction & Development Corp.
10. Triple 8 Construction & Supply, Inc.
11. Royal Crown Monarch Construction & Supplies Corp.
12. Wawao Builders
13. MG Samidan Construction
14. L.R. Tiqui Builders, Inc.
15. Road Edge Trading & Development Services

Marcos said the five contractors with projects in almost all regions across the country include Legacy Construction Corporation, Alpha & Omega Gen. Contractor & Development Corp., St. Timothy Construction Corporation, EGB Construction Corporation, and Road Edge Trading & Development Services.

When asked if these contractors have ties to current government officials, Marcos stated that the administration is still investigating the matter.

“We will still go through every single one. And we still have to determine what is credible and what requires action,” Marcos said.

In his last State of the Nation Address, the President vowed to hold accountable those involved in questionable flood control projects.
