These days, many construction teams are urgently drilling geological surveys along the Thu Thiem – Long Thanh metro route, laying the groundwork for design work and project implementation in the coming period.

On Song Hanh Street, Binh Trung Ward, Ho Chi Minh City, the construction unit is urgently drilling geological surveys along the route.

Drilling rigs are being deployed to collect soil and rock samples for studying the geological conditions of the area the route passes through.

A representative of the construction unit stated that geological surveying is one of the first but crucial stages.

Soil and rock samples taken from various depths will help determine the stratigraphic structure, assess the bearing capacity of the ground, and serve as a basis for the design and construction of the Thu Thiem – Long Thanh metro line.

According to the construction unit, each borehole has a depth of 70-80 meters and takes 2-3 days to complete, ensuring a full assessment of geological conditions along the route.

The Thu Thiem – Long Thanh metro line is 48 km long and plays a vital role in connecting Ho Chi Minh City center with Dong Nai Province and Long Thanh Airport. Currently, Dai Quang Minh Real Estate Investment Joint Stock Company is the investor assigned to prepare the feasibility study report.
