National Association of Adaptive Physical Education Teachers (IGPANAS) successfully held its 2026 event.

The chairman explained that participants in the disability sports festival showed high enthusiasm.

« Competition categories include turbo throw for autism, 100-meter run (for deaf and intellectually disabled individuals), and bocce for Down syndrome and intellectually disabled individuals, » he said.

He added that the activity was aimed at discovering new talents among children with disabilities at 9 special schools in Cimahi City.

« Thank God, the participants were very enthusiastic because this event gave them a chance to showcase their special talents in sports, » he said.

« This sports festival also serves as a prelude to the O2SN selection, which is regularly held by the city and provincial education offices, » he added.

Furthermore, he stated that this disability sports festival will become a routine annual agenda for IGPANAS in Cimahi City.

« In the future, we from the National Association of Adaptive Physical Education Teachers in Cimahi will regularly hold this event as a benchmark for their training progress, » he said.

He hopes for full support from the Cimahi city government to provide proper facilities for these special children to train and develop their unique talents.

« Hopefully, the Cimahi city government can provide support for these special children to develop their talents in sports, » he concluded.
