National Association of Adaptive Physical Education Teachers (IGPANAS) successfully held its 2026 event.
The chairman explained that participants in the disability sports festival showed high enthusiasm.
“Competition categories include turbo throw for autism, 100-meter run (for deaf and intellectually disabled individuals), and bocce for Down syndrome and intellectually disabled individuals,” he said.
He added that the activity was aimed at discovering new talents among children with disabilities at 9 special schools in Cimahi City.
“Thank God, the participants were very enthusiastic because this event gave them a chance to showcase their special talents in sports,” he said.
“This sports festival also serves as a prelude to the O2SN selection, which is regularly held by the city and provincial education offices,” he added.
Furthermore, he stated that this disability sports festival will become a routine annual agenda for IGPANAS in Cimahi City.
“In the future, we from the National Association of Adaptive Physical Education Teachers in Cimahi will regularly hold this event as a benchmark for their training progress,” he said.
He hopes for full support from the Cimahi city government to provide proper facilities for these special children to train and develop their unique talents.
“Hopefully, the Cimahi city government can provide support for these special children to develop their talents in sports,” he concluded.
