A fire at PT Adil Mart in the Cikupa Mas area, Tangerang Regency, was finally extinguished on Friday, May 29, 2026, after 24 hours of firefighting efforts.
The fire at the sausage production factory started on Thursday, May 28, 2026, at 3:01 AM local time. Initial investigations suggest it was caused by an electrical short circuit in the production machinery.
The head of the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Tangerang Regency explained that the fire was successfully put out on Friday, May 29, 2026, around 3:00 AM local time.
“One post is still on standby at the location, in case the fire reignites,” he said.
The fire destroyed the factory building and its contents, causing very significant losses for the company.
“The losses are approximately 3 billion rupiah. There were no fatalities or injuries in this fire,” he stated.
Earlier, a BPBD Tangerang Regency platoon commander said they received a fire report around 3:01 AM local time.
“A witness from the company management said it was from an electrical short circuit,” he explained.
BPBD Tangerang Regency deployed seven fire trucks and 45 firefighters to put out the fire.
Firefighters had difficulty extinguishing the fire due to the large area and the large amount of flammable materials.
