On May 28, a member of the Iranian negotiation delegation’s media team stated that Iran has not yet agreed to any memorandum of understanding, nor has it confirmed approval of such a memorandum to Pakistani mediators.
He also clearly stated that during the negotiations with the United States, Iran made no commitments on the nuclear issue.
A source close to the negotiation team said that the text of a potential memorandum of understanding has not been finalized or confirmed. Claims by Western media that an agreement between Iran and the United States has been finalized are not true. Iran has not informed Pakistani mediators that the text is finalized. Once it is finalized, Iran will announce it to the Pakistani mediators and the public. Until then, any claims by Western sources that the matter has been finalized are not credible.
