The Dewan Hisbah of the Central Leadership (PP) of Persatuan Islam (Persis) held a Dakwah Field Safari and Socialization of the Results of the Dewan Hisbah Session at the Maksum Nawawi Dakwah Building, Majalengka Regency, on Thursday, May 14.

This activity aims to disseminate Islamic legal products so that they become guidelines for the community in facing the dynamics of modern life.

The event was attended by preachers, female preachers, and board members of PD Persis from the regions of Majalengka, Cirebon City and Regency, Kuningan, Sumedang, to Indramayu.

The Head of the Dewan Hisbah of PP Persis, KH Zae Nandang, explained that this safari is a routine agenda to ensure that the results of the sessions that have been determined by the organization can be fully understood by the public.

“We socialize these legal products so that the community has clear sharia guidance. The issues discussed are not only around pure worship but also touch on social, economic, political, and public issues,” said KH Zae Nandang.

In the socialization, the Dewan Hisbah presented the latest istinbath (legal extraction) decisions, which are divided into four major clusters:

Travel Worship and Hajj Rituals: Includes technical aspects of murur in Muzdalifah, tanazul Mina, hadyu, tawaf ifadhah, and the implementation of traveler’s prayers on Friday.

Zakat: Discusses trade zakat and problems of cross-location and cross-time fitr zakat.

Fiqh of Organization and Politics: Regulates the relationship of organization members with leaders, including consequences and strengthening the commitment of the oath of allegiance.

Faith and Etiquette: Covers discussions about belief in Imam Mahdi to the limits in honoring Ahlul Bait.

KH Zae Nandang emphasized that all these decisions were made by maintaining a balance between adherence to evidence and the realities of life. Although the principle of being based on evidence is firmly held, sharia still provides room for concessions in conditions of hardship or urgency.

In addition to legal aspects, the Secretary of the Dakwah Field of PP Persis, Dr. H. Deni Sholehudin, also presented various challenges of dakwah in the regions, ranging from limited human resources to social problems.

“We encourage the spirit of obedience to the organization’s oath of allegiance to be revived. This is important as an organizational ‘fence’ to be able to filter external influences, both socially and in political strategy,” emphasized Deni.

Through this dakwah safari, PP Persis hopes to strengthen organizational consolidation and improve the quality of dakwah, especially in relatively remote areas. The results of the Dewan Hisbah session are expected to be a compass for Muslims in answering the challenges of the times without stepping outside the sharia corridor.
