A man arrested as a recruiter in a special fraud case based in Myanmar was found to have received compensation of between 1 million and 3 million yen per “caller.”

Suspect Kazusa Yoshida (25), a self-proclaimed worker from Kobe, who was sent to prosecutors today, is suspected of providing facial photos and personal information of a then-16-year-old male high school student living in Aichi Prefecture to a special fraud group based in Myanmar in 2024. He is suspected of facilitating the student’s departure from Chubu Airport to Thailand, introducing him as a “caller.”

Police have not disclosed whether Yoshida has admitted to the allegations.
