Overseeing the 2025 Accountability Report, Head of Commission A Emphasizes Focus on the Welfare of the Common People
The Special Committee (Pansus) for the 2025 Accountability Report (LKPJ) of the Depok Mayor has officially begun its work. The Chairman of Commission A of the Depok City DPRD, who is also entrusted as a member of Pansus, emphasized the legislative commitment to carrying out strict oversight functions on the city government’s performance.
In a statement, it was conveyed that Pansus will conduct an in-depth review of all reports on the achievements of programs planned throughout 2025.
Oversight Function and Pansus Recommendations
It was explained that the main task of Pansus this time is to ensure that the state budget that has been used is truly absorbed effectively and has a real impact on the community. It was emphasized that the oversight function is the core duty of DPRD members that must be carried out objectively.
“We will strive to study, review, and correct the Mayor’s LKPJ. Programs that have been planned must be ensured to run as well as possible,” it was stated.
Correcting Programs and Advocating for Citizens’ Rights
The LKPJ Pansus is not just about reading the report, but also finding gaps and shortcomings for improvement. It was stated that if programs are found to be not running optimally or there are discrepancies in the field, Pansus will provide firm recommendations to the Depok City Government.
Main Focus of the 2025 LKPJ Pansus Oversight:
Public Advocacy: Ensuring government programs truly target the interests of the community, especially lower-middle-class citizens.
Regional Welfare: Making the progress of Depok City a priority above practical political interests.
Policy Audit: Providing strategic recommendations on findings or corrections obtained during the Pansus session period.
Hopes for Depok’s Progress
The statement was concluded by asking for public support so that Pansus can work transparently and accountably. It is hoped that the results of this Pansus study can serve as a foundation for the city government to improve the quality of public services in the future.
“We hope that future Depok City Government programs truly side with the interests of the common people, and prioritize the welfare and progress of Depok City above all else,” it was concluded.
The recommendation report from this LKPJ Pansus will later be submitted again in a plenary meeting as an official evaluation by the DPRD of the running of the Depok Mayor’s government throughout 2025.
