Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) has arrested an Assistant Engineer working for the Huzurabad Municipality in Karimnagar district while he was accepting a bribe.

A press release issued by the ACB stated that Assistant Engineer Nusum Sudhakar Reddy of Huzurabad Municipality was arrested by the Karimnagar unit while accepting a bribe of 50 thousand rupees from a complainant.

It was reported that the accused officer had demanded the bribe to record the measurement book and pass the final bill related to storm water drain construction work carried out by the complainant. The accused was produced before the concerned ACB court for further proceedings and remanded to judicial custody.
