Hyderabad — Reliance Industries Limited has taken a major step in the field of artificial intelligence with the launch of its new unit “Reliance Intelligence,” with Google and Meta as its strategic partners. Under this initiative, the company will work on four key missions: establishing a gigawatt-scale AI-ready data center in Jamnagar, forming alliances with leading technology companies and open-source communities, implementing AI services in education, healthcare, agriculture, and small industries, and bringing world-class AI talent to India.

Google’s CEO stated that AI is an extraordinary opportunity for India and will transform every industry, from small grocery stores to large corporations. For this purpose, Google and Reliance are jointly establishing a special Jamnagar Cloud Region. Meanwhile, Meta’s CEO announced that, as part of the partnership with Reliance, Meta’s Llama open-source models will be adapted into a secure, enterprise-ready AI platform for Indian businesses and government entities, ensuring every Indian has access to AI.
