The Telangana government is considering creating a public information portal, modeled after Rajasthan’s, to deliver information about government schemes and various services to people through digital means.
According to official sources, a delegation met with Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy in the conference hall of the Telangana Legislative Council. During this meeting, appreciation was expressed for the various public welfare programs being implemented by the government in Telangana. The meeting discussed expanding the currently operational ‘Praja Vani’ program from the state level down to the revenue division level. In this regard, the Chief Minister directed officials to take necessary steps.
Discussion Held on Establishing a ‘Praja Information Portal’ in Telangana as Well
A discussion was held on establishing a ‘Praja Information Portal’ in Telangana, following the model of the Rajasthan government’s public information portal. Through this portal, details of all schemes and government services being run by various departments will be made available in one place.
The Chief Minister directed officials to develop this portal through the IT Department. Praise was given for Telangana’s Gig Workers Bill, stating it would prove to be a historic initiative in the country. The meeting was attended by officials.
