Hyderabad, Four people died by suicide in separate incidents across the city and its outskirts due to various reasons.
In the Chaitanyapuri police station limits, a woman died by suicide by jumping from a rooftop following a domestic dispute. Police stated that Maniya Shiva Kumar, a resident of Hanuman Nagar, had married Maniya Madhavi alias Chandana (31) a few years ago. After marriage, Madhavi gave birth to two children.
For the past few months, the couple had been arguing over domestic matters. Following one such argument on Wednesday morning, Madhavi, in a moment of agitation, jumped from the roof of the house. Seriously injured in the incident, Madhavi was admitted to a private hospital, where she died during treatment this morning. Police have registered a case based on a complaint by Madhavi’s father, Bashetti Srinivas, and are investigating.
In another incident, within the Mailardevpally police station limits, a lorry driver died by hanging after his wife left home. Police said Vijay (30), a resident of Latur, Maharashtra, had a love marriage with Soundarya, a resident of Karnataka, three years ago. After living in Maharashtra for two years, the couple came to Hyderabad last year in search of work and were living in Katedan. Vijay worked as a lorry driver, while Soundarya had a job at a company in Katedan. For some days, Vijay had developed suspicions about Soundarya’s character. Because of this, he began harassing her.
Three consecutive individuals die by hanging in Hyderabad
Due to the harassment, Soundarya went to her relative’s house in Aramghar a few days ago. After his wife did not return, Vijay, a resident of Ganesh Nagar, Katedan, died by suicide yesterday by hanging himself from a ceiling fan using a chunni. In a similar other incident, within the L.B. Nagar police station limits, a businessman died by hanging in a hotel room.
Police stated that Srimalla Mahesh Chandra (42), a resident of Srinilayam Apartments, Hastinapuram, left home on an Activa yesterday morning and did not return. He was not answering calls from his family. Therefore, the family called his friend Rakesh and asked him to inquire. Rakesh traced the location and reached the Bairy Reddy Hotel in L.B. Nagar, where Mahesh’s Activa was parked outside.

Upon going inside and checking, it was discovered that Mahesh had died by suicide by hanging himself in the bathroom of hotel room no. 303. The exact reasons for the suicide have not been revealed. In another incident, within the Chandrayanagutta police station limits, Sheikh Ghouse (33), a resident of G.M. Colony, Chandrayanagutta, died by suicide by hanging last night for unknown reasons. Sheikh Ghouse ran a business named Sheikh Auto Parts in Afzalgunj along with his brothers. The exact reasons for the suicide have not been revealed.
