On January 11, it was learned from the police that recently, the Guangzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau organized traffic control, criminal investigation, and local public security sub-bureaus to carry out a concentrated operation to crack down on “crash-for-cash” schemes.

This operation successfully dismantled four criminal gangs involved in intentionally causing traffic accidents to commit “crash-for-cash” fraud and extortion, including those targeting ride-hailing services. A total of 46 suspects were arrested and criminally detained, dealing a powerful blow to the audacity of such criminal activities.
