According to the Central Meteorological Observatory, around 8 a.m. this morning (August 30), the tropical depression in the South China Sea intensified into this year’s 14th typhoon, “Blue Lake,” with maximum winds near the center reaching force 8 (18 meters per second). It is forecasted that “Blue Lake” will move westward at a speed of 25–30 kilometers per hour toward the central coast of Vietnam and is likely to make landfall along the aforementioned coastal area around this evening.
