Hyderabad: The Shri Arihant Panel, backed by President Yogesh Singhi, secured a sweeping victory in the Shri Jain Seva Sangh elections. Out of 19 executive member positions, 17 candidates from this panel won. Only 2 candidates from the rival Namo Navkar Panel were victorious. Umesh Bagrecha, the panel’s declared candidate for the president’s post, received 2526 votes. Following the announcement of results, candidates and supporters of the Arihant Panel celebrated enthusiastically.
The election results generated significant excitement among community members. As soon as the results were declared, supporters loudly chanted slogans celebrating the panel’s victory, adding to the festive mood. They congratulated all the winning candidates by dancing joyfully and expressing their happiness with drums and music. Many lifted Yogesh Singhi and Umesh Bagrecha onto their shoulders, doubling the enthusiasm both inside the premises and out on the street. The celebrating candidates danced, sang, and set off firecrackers on the road outside the Sangh building, congratulating everyone.
Results Declared Immediately with Guidance Council’s Consent
Prior to this, at the Sangh building in Ramkot, the chief election officer stated that voting had taken place on the 21st of December. Several complaints were received from some members of the candidate panels, including issues such as irregular voting, fake votes, and counterfeit impersonation. These matters were presented before the Guidance Council for a decision. Ultimately, a consensus was reached to declare the results immediately. It is noteworthy that there are several errors in the membership documents and ID cards, which should be corrected promptly. Furthermore, member details should be updated before the next elections.
The Guidance Council appreciated the work done by the election officers and their teams and also expressed regret for some errors. The results were released, acknowledging the cooperation of the police and the Guidance Council.
Results Announced at Sangh Building in Presence of Police Officers
At the Sangh building, the chief election officer announced the election results of the Shri Jain Seva Sangh in the presence of ACP Attaya and other police officers. The following candidates from the Hyderabad area were declared winners: Amit Jain Munot (2698 votes), Dr. Anish Pokarana (2553 votes), Ashish Bhensali (2489 votes), Ashok Kothari (2224 votes), Bharat Jain (Vikram Chaudhary) (2173 votes), Manoj Tated (2652 votes), Sajjan Raj Gandhi (2302 votes), Trilok Jhabak (1940 votes), Vijayraj Anchalya (1796 votes), Mahavir Munot (1773 votes), and Vikram Shrishrimal (1782 votes).
Additionally, the following were declared winners: from the Secunderabad area – Ashok Soni (2240 votes), Hukamchand Kotecha (1940 votes), Sunil Bohra (2390 votes), Suresh Kothari (2354 votes), and Umeshchand Nahar Jain (2236 votes); from the Kora area – Avinash Bhandari (2209 votes) and Umesh Bagrecha (2526 votes); and from the Bollaram area – Ashok Sancheti (2270 votes). Out of a total of 40 candidates, 19 candidates secured victory.
The occasion was attended by members of the Guidance Council, including President Yogesh Singhi, Minister Ashok Kumar Mutha, winning candidates, other office bearers, members, and police officials including Inspector P. Dharma Rao, SI D. Venu, P. Ramu, along with office bearers and members from various committees of the Jain community.
