Yamuna River water level in Delhi exceeds 207 meters: Flooding in surrounding areas

According to officials, the water level remained stable at 207.47 meters between 2 AM and 5 AM. Floodwaters have reached near the Delhi Secretariat, where the offices of the Chief Minister, cabinet ministers, and senior bureaucrats are located. Areas around Vasudev Ghat have also been flooded. Floodwaters have even reached the Shri Marghat Hanuman Baba Temple near Kashmiri Gate.
A flood control bulletin issued on Wednesday evening stated that the water level at the old railway bridge would be 207.48 meters at 8 AM and is likely to decline thereafter. The old railway bridge serves as a key observation point for monitoring the river’s flow and potential flood threats.
