There are currently 134 Red and White Village Cooperatives (KDMP) in Samosir Regency, but they still need to move quickly to enter the national digital system.

The government is preparing the construction of a 1,000 square meter warehouse for each KDMP, with financing provided through PT Agrinas Nusantara.

This was stated during a workshop on accelerating the operationalization of the Red and White Village Cooperatives (KDMP) held at Hotel Vantas, Pangururan.

The workshop was attended by partners and sponsors from state-owned and regional-owned enterprises, supporting cooperatives, and village cooperative administrators from throughout Samosir Regency.

It was emphasized that accelerating KDMP operations requires a collective effort based on a spirit of kinship and mutual cooperation.

“Cooperatives must operate with a spirit of idealism; being a cooperative administrator should not be taken lightly. It must be pursued and carried out with full responsibility,” was stressed.

It was added that village cooperatives are a new cornerstone in driving the village community’s economy.

“Administrators are asked to maintain unity, strengthen the institution, and explore local potential, including capital through Himbara Bank,” was stated.

It was also hoped that the spirit of togetherness would be maintained by the cooperative administrators, as the benefits are directly felt by the members.

“With the establishment of village kitchens and the supply of needs from the cooperative, economic circulation and opportunities for the local community will grow,” was further added.

It was conveyed that the Red and White Village Cooperatives (KDMP) are a national strategic project aimed at sustainably strengthening the village economy.

“We are not talking about a project, but a national movement. There are over 80,000 KDMPs across Indonesia, and they must share the same spirit of returning the economy to the villages,” it was said.

According to the statement, Samosir Regency has great potential, especially in the coffee sector. Village cooperatives can act as off-takers to process agricultural products so that the community obtains more profitable selling prices.

“We are assisting with the inventory of village assets as locations for warehouse construction. The government is not providing money but facilities and infrastructure,” was explained.

It was stated that if the land is ready and recorded, warehouse construction can begin immediately. “The President’s target is that by January or at the latest March 2026, all KDMP warehouses must be built,” was revealed.

During the workshop, practical training was provided on using the Simkopdes system as the official platform for the digital data collection and management of village cooperatives.

Digitalization is a presidential mandate so that all KDMPs are integrated with the national system. With centralized data, supervision and access to financing become easier, more transparent, and secure.

Several official KDMP websites were also introduced, which can be used for registration, login, and financing applications.

“If difficulties are encountered, cooperative administrators can contact the helpdesk via WhatsApp messaging service,” was stated.
