King Salman International Airport launches its visual identity under the slogan 'Your Journey. Your Destination'

King Salman International Airport Development Company announced the official identity of King Salman International Airport, marking a significant milestone in the development of one of the world’s most ambitious and advanced aviation projects.

The visual identity was launched under the slogan “Your Journey. Your Destination,” reflecting the airport’s commitment to redefining the travel experience through a focus on innovation, sustainability, and design that prioritizes passenger needs. King Salman International Airport serves as the future gateway to the capital city of Riyadh and is a pivotal project in achieving the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

The launch of the visual identity represents a turning point in the company’s journey toward building a comprehensive future airport that redefines the travel experience through innovation, advanced digital infrastructure, and integration with Riyadh, making King Salman International Airport not just a transit point but a distinguished destination in itself.

This step aligns with a new phase of the project, reflecting accelerated development and the company’s readiness for upcoming milestones. The airport’s visual identity is built on four core values that represent its vision: human-centric focus, refined simplicity, renewable innovation, and local-global character, embodying the company’s ambition to redefine the role of airports in serving travelers and communities.

King Salman International Airport spans an area of approximately 57 square kilometers and will include 6 runways and 9 passenger terminals.

The airport aims to serve over 100 million passengers annually by 2030, with a cargo capacity of up to 2 million tons of goods per year.

In terms of economic impact, the airport is expected to contribute around 27 billion Saudi Riyals annually to the non-oil GDP. The project also includes integrated commercial areas and advanced logistics capabilities to support population and economic growth in the region, enhancing the Kingdom’s position as a destination for tourism, business, and investment.

The King Salman International Airport Development Company is leading the project’s implementation with global standards in design, technology, and environmental performance, as part of broader efforts to develop qualitative national projects that contribute to comprehensive development and strengthen the Kingdom’s position on the global aviation map.

King Salman International Airport

King Salman International Airport is a major new airport project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, announced in 2021. It is being developed to transform the existing King Khalid International Airport into a major global aviation hub, significantly increasing its capacity to handle passengers and cargo. The project is a key part of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 initiative to diversify its economy and boost tourism and logistics.

Riyadh

Riyadh is the capital and largest city of Saudi Arabia, located in the heart of the Arabian Peninsula. Historically a walled oasis town and a significant trading hub, it served as the historic capital of the First Saudi State. Its modern transformation began after it was recaptured by the Al Saud family in 1902, eventually becoming the center of the unified Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and a major global metropolis.

Saudi Vision 2030

Saudi Vision 2030 is a strategic framework launched in 2016 to reduce Saudi Arabia’s dependence on oil, diversify its economy, and develop public service sectors such as health, education, infrastructure, recreation, and tourism. It is not a physical place but a national transformation program with ambitious goals centered around three main themes: a vibrant society, a thriving economy, and an ambitious nation. The vision aims to leverage the country’s strategic location and investment power to build a dynamic, modern society for future generations.
